I wanted to write this email to share with you a beautiful story of our experience in Prince Edward Island on August 10, 2011. We were camping at Marco Polo Land and ventured out one day to the PEI Preserve Company in New Glasgow with our son and daughter, and my parents. After wandering through the PEI Preserve Company and making a few purchases, we went outside and stood near the entrance to wait for my mother. It was at this moment we noticed a large white limo in the upper parking lot. It was a Wednesday after lunch and we were curious as to whom the limo belonged. As we gazed down towards the "Garden of Hope" on the PEI Preserve Company property, we saw an elegant bride and her dashing groom walking up from the garden along with their photographer. As they approached, I quickly huddled the children together and stood them aside assuming that they wanted a picture of the bride near the PEI Preserve Company entrance. The bride approached my daughter, Olivia, and extended her gorgeous bouquet of a dozen white roses. The bride and groom were Asian and did not speak English. I said to my daughter that the bride must want her to hold the bouquet while she gets another picture taken without the flowers, or perhaps she needed to adjust her gown. The bride then beckoned with her hands that the bouquet was for Olivia to keep. She also gestured that she wanted to have a picture taken with Olivia holding the bouquet; her photographer proceeded to take the picture. We thanked her many times with words, smiles and waves, and then she disappeared into the limo giving one last wave before driving away. It was such an amazing experience for Olivia and the entire family - especially with the "Garden of Hope" so near. We forgot to take a picture ourselves of Olivia and the bride. We did, however, manage to snap a picture of the limo leaving the parking lot, and one of Olivia holding the bouquet in the "Garden of Hope".

We took the roses back to our trailer and placed them in a jar of water right away. The roses then made the trek back to our home in Tantallon, NS, where they were placed in a much more suitable crystal vase. Just tonight, I hung them in a basement room to dry and hopefully preserve. It would be very unique to one day return the dried roses to the mystery bride and groom for them to include with the other memories of their wedding in Prince Edward Island on Wednesday, August 10, 2011.

I hope you enjoy the story of our experience in PEI this summer.
