July 12 was my first cycling venture from our studio, Gaudreau Fine Woodworking to Stanhope returning through the national park on the bike path. It was a beautiful, relaxing and scenic journey in the early morning. Sunshine all the way. The route meanders through the hills with woods and meadows for the first half of the ride with light traffic early in the morning. MacQuarrie's road is a lovely quiet cross road over to Brackley Point Road. The views of Covehead Bay while travelling through Stanhope are breath taking and changing at every corner then you arrive to views of the Covehead lighthouse and then the open ocean! The route is 32.19 km. Hope you get the opportunity to take a ride... Visit my blog for some great photos of the day! | |
